Welcome to Jojo’s Sweet Treats.

As a child, I used to dream of being locked in a sweet shop overnight, then when I was a little older, I dreamed about running my own lolly and ice cream store one day.  But as it turned out my love of teaching and the practicalities of a teaching career fast took over any entrepreneurial dreams I had. 

However, I continued to talk about the day when I would start up my own sweet store ... the timing just never seemed right.  Recently I found myself in a position where I had a choice …do I continue in education or do I listen to that little voice niggling away, telling me to do something brave and different?

My husband and stepson are self-employed and manage a successful furniture business – The Heart of Rimu furniture store - check it out if you’re in the market for beautiful wooden furniture!  As their business grew, I discovered that with passion, beautiful products, and hard work, anything is possible.  

So this is where my journey starts.  It’s taken a while but as 50 is just a couple of years away, it’s time to draw on the dream I had as a youngster and delve into the wonderful world of lollies! 

Having ordered lolly gift boxes before, I know how disappointing it is to receive a package that lacks that ‘wow’ factor.  In my opinion the gift needs to look equally inviting inside and out.  This is driving me to create gift boxes of a standard that surpasses the ones I have received.
